When a child becomes eligible for an IEP, it is required by IDEA that an IEP meeting is held, at minimum, annually. IEP meetings can be an overwhelming experience for some parents whose child just qualified for special education. Beginning to understand the IEP process and who will be involved is an important first step in understanding the world of special education.
